We wanted to come big this year. Last year we came like a fire, and this year our goal was to come like a volcano. And we did. Our team of section leaders and costume designers worked tirelessly to create the most stunning and elaborate costumes you’ve ever seen. It’s important to note that planning for the Toronto Carnival begins months in advance, with each section leader dedicating their time and energy to designing and constructing their pieces.

Our theme for this year, “Desires,” is all about celebrating the beauty and sensuality of the human form. Each costume you see below is a reflection of that. From the intricate gem work to the stunning display of feathering in vibrant colours, every detail has been carefully crafted to bring this theme to life.

If you’re interested in participating in the Toronto Carnival Parade, you must purchase a costume to register. Once you’ve made your purchase, you’ll be considered registered and will receive access to a host of perks and benefits. These include the costume and upgrades of your choice, a wristband to access the parade route, food and drinks on parade day, security, and two music trucks with a stellar DJ lineup. It’s sure to be an unforgettable experience!
